AssetMark has opened a global capability centre in Hyderabad, according to reports published by The Times of India on 27 October and Namasthe Telangana on 28 October. Both accounts describe a move from outsourcing work in India to a dedicated in-house centre supporting the US wealth-management company's operations.
The employment numbers need care. Namasthe Telangana reported potential opportunities for 500 people. The Times of India described a facility designed to accommodate around 500 people. Neither establishes that 500 employees have already been hired.
The Times of India, reporting the company's announcement, said recruitment covers technology, operations and product management, and identified Joshi Alaparthi as the India centre's head. These are reported hiring plans, rather than a guarantee of appointment for applicants.
