Kenya won the women’s rugby sevens final against Australia at the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal. The International Olympic Committee said on November 3 that Kenya clinched the match by scoring the first points in extra time at the Complexe Iba Mar Diop.
The result made Kenya the first African nation to win rugby sevens gold at either the Olympic Games or the Youth Olympic Games, the IOC said. [evidence-1]
