Arnab landfall completed by 8 AM, IMD confirms

Cyclone Arnab’s central region had moved fully inland by 8 AM IST on October 28, 2026, IMD said in its 1:45 PM release. The coast crossing southwest of Yanam took place between 2 AM and 8 AM, with sustained winds of 125–135 km/h and gusts to 150 km/h.

IMD still forecast isolated extremely heavy rain over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on October 28. Completed landfall does not mean the rain threat has ended.
