Mumbai’s Santacruz export processing zone reported ₹32.5 crore in electricity cost savings for its consumers in 2025–26, according to a 5 November Commerce Ministry release. The zone rate is ₹5.60 per unit, compared with ₹8.65 outside the zone. The revised tariff took effect on 1 April 2025.
The ministry said the tariff benefits 495 electricity consumers, across industrial units and other utilities. It also said the zone has received all of its electricity from green sources since July 2026. That switch followed the financial year covered by the savings figure.
