20 October 2026 | Background explainer | First batch
These profiles cover three reported mayoral nominees in Vijayawada and Greater Visakhapatnam. Signed final candidate lists and their 2026 local-election affidavits were not obtained. None is labelled a confirmed final contestant here. Older Assembly and Legislative Council declarations are historical records, not current wealth statements. Criminal-case information below comes from ADR/MyNeta affidavit-derived archives; original affidavit scans and current court-status records were not obtained. Case disclosures are not findings of guilt.
Mukka Sravani — Greater Visakhapatnam
Election status: reported TDP/alliance mayoral nominee. An 18 October report identifies her candidature. This is a reported mayoral contest, distinct from her former ward seat.
Background: GVMC's official elected-council document lists Mukka Sravani as the TDP representative for Ward 26 under the earlier ward arrangement. The document's issue date was not established. An 18 October report describes her professional background as physiotherapy and says she joined TDP in 2015. Her qualifications were not checked against a certificate or affidavit.
Declared assets and liabilities: a usable current local-election affidavit was not found. Self, spouse and dependant amounts remain unavailable.
Disclosed criminal cases: a candidate-specific affidavit or identifiable official case record was not obtained. The case count is unverified; this does not establish that she has no cases.
Varudu Kalyani — Greater Visakhapatnam
Election status: reported YSRCP mayoral nominee; an 18 October report says she filed her nomination. Final candidature was not independently certified.
Background: the 2022 ADR report records her Visakhapatnam Local Authorities Legislative Council term as 8 December 2021–7 December 2027. MyNeta's historical Council affidavit summary lists business as her occupation and an MBA completed in 2003. This Council election is a different contest from the reported 2026 municipal election.
Historical declared assets: ADR's 8 August 2022 report records combined movable assets of INR 3,10,78,333 and immovable assets of INR 12,88,92,200, totalling INR 15,99,70,533. These are affidavit-derived historical amounts, not independently valued assets in 2026.
Historical liabilities: unresolved. MyNeta's declared-total row shows INR 29,08,818, while its headline/calculated total shows INR 44,22,636. This profile does not select either as a verified total. The original declaration date and affidavit scan remain unavailable.
Historical case disclosure: ADR's 2022 report records two entries: FIR 35/2017, Airport police station, and FIR 126/2018, Nakkapalli police station. Its entry records no convictions at that time. This is not a finding that two cases remain pending today, or that there have been no later proceedings. Current status was not verified.

Vangaveeti Radhakrishna — Vijayawada
Election status: an 18 October report says he filed for Vijayawada mayor as the Jana Sena/alliance nominee. The signed final list was not obtained.
Background: his 2014 Vijayawada East Assembly affidavit summary, archived by MyNeta under Radha Krishnan Vangaveeti, lists his occupation as politician/social worker and education as 12th pass, with medical studies discontinued. The party recorded for that 2014 contest was YSRCP; it should not be confused with his reported Jana Sena affiliation in 2026.
Historical declared assets: self movable assets INR 5,13,047; self immovable assets INR 23,20,000; total INR 28,33,047. Spouse/dependant asset columns and liabilities are recorded as Nil in that 2014 summary. These are historical declarations, not present-day values. The exact affidavit signing date was not obtained.
Historical case disclosure: the 2014 archive records four cases and no convictions in its conviction section at that time. Current case outcomes were not verified. An inconsistent archive heading and accompanying text prevent a reliable assertion here about which charges had been framed.
How to read these profiles
There is no comparable set of current local-election declarations for these three people in the records obtained. They should not be ranked by wealth or case counts. Missing data means not found, not zero or not disclosed. A document would need to be inspected before saying a candidate omitted a disclosure. Current signed candidate lists, dated affidavits and identifiable court orders are needed to complete the records.
