More than 300 people took part in an HPCL walkathon along Beach Road in Visakhapatnam on October 25, according to a Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry release. The event formed part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and focused on integrity and accountability in public life.
HPCL Vigilance Officer Ved Prakash Verma flagged off the walk. Participants included company officers, their family members and students from the Skill Development Institute.
The programme used the theme “Probity for Prosperity”. HPCL said the activity sought to encourage people to recognise their role in preventing corruption and practising ethical conduct in personal and professional life. These were the stated aims of the awareness event.
