Jitendra Singh outlines nuclear-energy and AI goals
Union minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said India’s nuclear programme is for peaceful purposes and claimed nuclear energy would have a larger role in meeting future energy needs, including demand linked to AI and data centres. He said India aims for 100 GW of nuclear capacity by 2047 and net-zero emissions by 2070. [e-0-0]
Singh also called for responsible, human-guided use of AI and said private-sector participation had expanded in areas previously more limited to it. These were official assertions in a PIB release; the evidence provides no project-specific funding, sanction, release or spending details. [e-0-0]
