Western Coalfields Limited has reported about ₹22.72 crore in revenue from disposing of 539.65 metric tonnes of scrap under Special Campaign 6. The Ministry of Coal released the update through PIB Mumbai on October 26, using campaign progress reported up to October 22. These are company-reported administrative results, rather than figures for October 26 alone.
The Coal India subsidiary says it cleaned 300 sites covering 650,000 square feet. The release gives the exact scrap-disposal revenue as ₹22,71,89,950.95 and links the work to workplace cleaning, disposal of obsolete material and better use of space.
The ministry also reports that WCL reviewed and closed 500 physical files. Its electronic-file figures need clarification: the same release lists 7,500 files reviewed but 7,650 closed, without explaining whether closures included files outside the review count. Those figures do not support a straightforward closure percentage, so KROV is not presenting them as a reconciled performance measure.
The reported scrap revenue is a campaign figure. It should not be interpreted as the company's overall sales, profit or coal-production performance. The release provides no independent audit of the reported campaign outcomes.
