A financial-inclusion campaign running from October 21 to December 31, 2026, aims to bring banking and social-security services closer to eligible residents across Chhattisgarh. An October 23 Ministry of Finance release through PIB Raipur says the campaign covers 11,689 gram panchayats and urban local bodies across 146 development blocks in all 33 districts. This is the campaign's stated coverage, not a count of people enrolled or camps already completed.
Bank branches are organising camps in nearby local bodies, with officials providing information and collecting documents for eligible registrations. The services include opening Jan Dhan accounts, reactivating dormant accounts, completing re-KYC and registering or updating nominations for savings accounts and bank lockers. The campaign also includes account-opening support for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group families.
The camps cover eligible enrolment in Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana. They also offer information on secure digital transactions, financial-fraud prevention and unclaimed financial assets. Participation remains subject to each scheme's applicable conditions; attending a camp does not guarantee insurance benefits, a pension or loan approval.
The release says camps are collecting Kisan Credit Card loan applications from PM-Kisan beneficiaries and sharing information about crop insurance for the coming rabi season. Residents have been asked to visit their nearest bank camp. It does not provide a village-wise timetable or a single list of documents applicable to every service, so those arrangements need to be confirmed with the organising bank.
