A PIB Delhi release said PM Daksh, a central-sector skill-training scheme launched in 2020-21, was merged with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship’s PMKVY scheme from 2024-25. The release said 187,305 candidates were trained and 96,162 received employment between 2020-21 and 2023-24. It also reported that ₹276.47 crore was allocated for PM Daksh over that period and that ₹309.5 crore had been spent so far; the release did not provide a date range for the reported expenditure. PIB cited an evaluation study in which more than 90% of beneficiaries said the training matched their career goals and local labour-market needs.
