The Competition Commission of India has cleared Maybach Asia Holdings II Pte. Ltd.’s proposed acquisition of the entire equity share capital of Sahrudaya Health Care Private Limited. The decision was announced on October 22.
Maybach is a special-purpose vehicle set up for the transaction and is indirectly owned by funds, vehicles or accounts advised and managed by subsidiaries of KKR & Co. Inc. Sahrudaya and its subsidiaries operate a multi-specialty network of 28 hospitals or units with approximately 4,800 beds across south and west India, according to the regulator’s release.
The network provides care across more than 80 clinical specialties. The announcement records competition clearance for a proposed ownership transaction; it does not disclose a deal value, confirm closing or announce changes to hospital fees, staffing or patient services.
