Ahmedabad’s October 25 edition of Fit India–Sundays on Cycle combined a cycling rally with cyber-security awareness and traditional games, the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry said. The Sports Authority of India’s Gandhinagar regional centre organised the 96th edition with the Gujarat Cricket Association.
The rally started at Gate No. 1 of Narendra Modi Stadium and ended at the Decathlon Sports campus. Participants covered approximately 3.5 kilometres, according to the release. It described participation by young people but did not give a headcount.
Team India para-cyclist Geeta Rao attended as special guest. Everester and Fit India brand ambassador Nisha Kumari also participated. Activities included Zumba, chess, foosball, Ludo, badminton and volleyball, while a dedicated games zone featured traditional Indian games.
Cyber security was the event’s central theme, alongside physical activity, inclusion and community participation. The ministry described it as an awareness programme; the release did not announce a new cyber-security rule or report measured changes in participants’ health or online safety.
