The Steel Ministry has invited companies and industry associations to raise steel-import issues at an open house in New Delhi on October 28. Announced on October 23, the meeting will run from 11 am to 5 pm in the Steel Room, third floor, GPOA-3, Netaji Nagar.
Participation requires a confirmed time slot. Requests should reach tech-steel@nic.in by noon on October 26. The ministry says walk-ins will not be possible, third-party representation is not allowed and each organisation may send only one representative.
Requests should identify the company or association, industry and product, whether the issue concerns SIMS, SARAL SIMS or a QCO exemption, and any relevant application reference. Applicants should provide a description of the issue in no more than 50 words, along with the participant’s name, designation and contact details.
For businesses seeking to raise a pending import matter, the immediate step is to submit that information before the deadline and obtain an emailed slot. The announcement establishes a forum for presenting issues; it does not promise approval of an application or an exemption.
