The Ministry of Labour and Employment said it will organise a two-day state-level capacity-building and awareness programme on labour codes, labour welfare and social security in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on October 26 and 27, 2026, with the Uttar Pradesh government. The programme is part of the nationwide “Shram Samvaad” initiative, the ministry said.
According to the ministry, discussions will cover labour reforms, social-security measures for unorganised and gig/platform workers, construction-worker initiatives, and digital platforms including e-Shram and the Shram Suvidha Portal. The second day is scheduled to focus on implementation of labour codes and the way forward, including the four labour codes and child-labour prevention, rescue and rehabilitation strategies.
