The Rural Development Department said its Special Campaign 6, which began on 2 October 2026, aims to institutionalise cleanliness, reduce pending matters and dispose of e-waste. The department reported that it had met 100% of its cleanliness-drive and IMC-reference targets between 2 and 23 October, while recording progress across appeals, file reviews, grievance disposal and other references.
According to the PIB release, 690 physical files were weeded out and 1,177 e-files closed. It said disposal of e-waste and scrap furniture is expected to generate about Rs 15.29 lakh and has freed 43,186 square feet of office space. The department said it aims to achieve all targets by 31 October 2026.
