A Used Water Marketplace under AMRUT 2.0 and an internship initiative linking students with CPWD were among the launches at the National Urban Conclave in Bhubaneswar, which concluded on 25 October 2026, the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry said.
The marketplace is designed to let urban local bodies list the quantity and quality of treated used water available for sale. Industries, institutions and other potential users or investors can identify procurement opportunities through the platform. Its launch does not by itself demonstrate completed water sales or independently verified water quality.
The internship initiative is intended to give undergraduate engineering and architecture students access to CPWD opportunities through AICTE’s National Internship Portal, with exposure to public infrastructure projects, construction technology, project management and quality assurance. The release does not specify application dates, a stipend or the number of places.
Other launches included a portal for Urban Challenge Fund project submission and monitoring, a municipal-finance data hub, and CPWD Nirman for digital project monitoring. A first tranche of funding formally commenced implementation of 18 selected Street Food Hubs under PM SVANidhi; it was not an announcement that all 18 hubs were complete. The conclave’s wider municipal-reform recommendations remain recommendations, rather than newly enacted laws.
