Rice prices climbed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in late 2026

Reported retail rice prices rose from midyear in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, according to Factly’s November 4 analysis of government price data. From January 1 to November 1, the reported average was ₹56.20 per kg in Telangana and ₹51.40 in Andhra Pradesh.

Daily prices and national output

Telangana’s reported daily average reached ₹79 per kg on October 20 and 21. These are reported averages, so prices at individual shops can differ. Factly also found that national rice output rose from 105.48 million tonnes in 2014–15 to 150.18 million tonnes in 2024–25. The production figures end before the recent price increases and cover India as a whole.
