Sandeep won bronze in the men's 100 metres T44 event at the Asian Para Games, the Prime Minister's Office announced on October 23. Its statement says the medal adds to his gold-winning world-record performance in the 400 metres during the campaign.
The bronze reported in this update is for the 100 metres. The gold and world-record reference concerns the separate 400-metre performance; it should not be read as a record claim for this bronze-winning sprint.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Sandeep and wished him further success. The statement does not supply race times, margins or a detailed results table. This report retains the distinction between the two events and attributes the medal and record information to the PMO.
