Nimisha wins Asian Para Games long-jump silver, PMO says

Nimisha Chakkungalparambil Suresh won silver in the women's long jump T47 event at the Asian Para Games, according to an October 23 announcement from the Prime Minister's Office. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated her on the result.

Medal and event confirmed

The PMO statement identifies both the medal and competition classification. It does not give her jump distance, the winning distance or the exact date of the final. Those details are therefore not inferred from the congratulatory announcement.

Published by PIB at 10:31 pm IST on October 23, the statement recognises a completed medal result, rather than a selection or upcoming fixture. A full comparison of the finalists would require the detailed competition results.
