The Central Board of Secondary Education is holding its fourth national summit on school-to-work transition in New Delhi on October 26–27, according to a Ministry of Education release published through PIB on October 26. The two-day meeting brings school leaders, educators, industry experts and policymakers together to discuss how schooling can connect with further education, skills and employment.
Department of School Education and Literacy Secretary T. K. Anil Kumar outlined four priorities: technology, digital safety and skills; design, creativity and innovation; recognition of skills across education systems through the National Credit Framework; and career guidance with equitable pathways. CBSE Chairman Mandeep Bhandari also attended.
The programme includes discussions on teaching practices, assessment, digital integration and ways to strengthen skill education. Educators from CBSE-affiliated schools are presenting case-based papers and posters on their experience with skill education. The ministry describes the summit as an effort to help students make informed choices and move more smoothly from school into further learning and work.
These are the summit's stated aims. The release does not announce a recruitment drive, guarantee placements or set a new mandatory employment requirement for students. It also does not announce a separate AP or Telangana programme.
