Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal co-chaired an India–Netherlands Business Forum on October 26 with Dutch foreign trade minister Sjoerd Sjoerdsma, according to a ministry release issued through PIB on October 27. Around 200 participants attended, including Indian and Dutch business representatives.
The day’s programme also included meetings with Dutch government leaders and parliamentarians, individual company executives and a separate roundtable involving CXOs of 15 Dutch companies. The Embassy of India in The Hague and HSBC Netherlands organised the roundtable.
The ministry said discussions explored investment, market access, supply chains and commercial partnerships. The companies represented sectors including semiconductors, electronics, logistics, energy, industrial solutions, technology and retail. These are reported engagements and prospective cooperation; the release does not quantify new investment commitments or announce signed commercial contracts.
This October 26 business programme follows the October 25 Rotterdam port visit already reported by KROV. The new release does not establish fresh tariff rates or an implementation date for trade-agreement provisions.
