NLC India Limited generated ₹3,11,89,078—about ₹3.12 crore—from disposing of 1,272 metric tonnes of scrap during its ongoing administrative cleanliness campaign, the Coal Ministry said in an October 25 release. The figures describe progress as of October 23, rather than the campaign’s final results.
The company reported work at 180 cleanliness sites against a target of 145. It also cleared 2,496,193 square feet of space, exceeding its planned 2,415,786 square feet. Its scrap-disposal target was 1,266.22 tonnes.
NLC said it reviewed 1,378 physical files and 320 electronic files, and weeded out 506 physical files and 122 electronic files. It identified three processes for simplification and reported 26 new initiatives against a proposed 50.
The company separately reported clearing 2,042 electronic-waste items: 1,491 information-technology and telecommunications items, 351 laboratory instruments and 200 consumer electrical, electronic and photovoltaic-panel items. These are item counts, distinct from the scrap tonnage.
Special Campaign 6 runs from October 2 to 31. The ministry’s figures are an interim administrative update; they do not establish the final month-end totals.
