Delhi-NCR truck and bus owners offered guidance at October 28 Burari transport mela

The Road Transport Ministry and Delhi government will hold a PARIVARTAN Transport Mela at the Vehicle Inspection Unit near the Burari District Transport Office, North Delhi, on October 28 from 9.30 am. It is intended to help owners of old trucks and buses in Delhi-NCR understand scrapping and replacement options.

Manufacturers, dealers, registered scrapping facilities, banks, finance companies and fuel-sector representatives are expected to provide guidance. The ministry lists conditional discounts, loan support, tax concessions and other incentives under the scheme; the announcement does not establish identical benefits or guaranteed finance for every visitor.

About 40,000 beneficiaries have registered on the portal, according to the release. Registration is distinct from approved support, vehicle replacement or completed scrapping. Owners should obtain applicable scheme and finance terms from the official participating bodies.
