PM scheduled to open ESTIC on October 27; about 150 startup stalls planned

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate ESTIC 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, at 5.30 pm on October 27, the PMO announced on October 26. The science and innovation conclave runs from October 27 to 29.

The new programme announcement envisages around 150 deep-tech startup stalls and a Global Connect networking event with more than 300 invited participants from academia, research and industry. These are planned participation figures, not outcomes already achieved or an invitation guaranteeing public admission.

The agenda spans 12 themes including AI, biotechnology, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, climate and ocean sciences. Exhibitions and networking are intended to support research partnerships and commercialisation; displaying a technology does not establish regulatory approval or market deployment. This update adds opening and networking details to earlier DBT-session coverage.
