THINK Gas says its managing director and chief executive, Abhilesh Gupta, met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to discuss reducing value-added tax on natural gas. The company's October 22 release describes a request and discussion; it does not announce an approved tax cut or a new consumer tariff.
The release, distributed by NewsVoir, argues that a lower tax rate could improve the affordability of piped natural gas and compressed natural gas for households, industry and transport. These are the company's projected benefits, not independently established outcomes.
THINK Gas says the meeting covered its investments in domestic piped-gas connections, pipeline networks and CNG stations across Madhya Pradesh. It supplies no new investment amount, completed-connection total or commissioning date for a particular project.
The company also argues that a more competitive tax regime could encourage adoption and investment. The release gives neither an agreed revised VAT rate nor an implementation timetable.
The documented development is a company's engagement with the state government on taxation and gas infrastructure. A meeting does not itself change a household bill or establish a government decision. Any claim that a VAT reduction has taken effect would require a subsequent official notification, which is not supplied in this release.
