UPSC announced the final result of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2026 on November 2 for courses at the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy in Hyderabad. The announcement follows the April written examination and Services Selection Board interviews.
The commission reports 243 entries across the three merit lists: 155 for the Army academy, 63 for the Naval academy and 25 for the Air Force academy. Some candidates appear in more than one list, so the sum should not be presented as 243 distinct people admitted or appointed.
The medical-examination results were not used to prepare these lists. Date-of-birth and educational-qualification verification by Army Headquarters is still under way, and candidature remains provisional on those grounds. Qualification in the published result is therefore distinct from completion of all admission requirements.
UPSC asks candidates to send original supporting certificates with attested photocopies to the Army, Naval or Air Headquarters according to their first choice. Address changes should be communicated directly to the relevant headquarters. The release provides no document-submission deadline.
The results will be available on the UPSC website. Individual marks are to be published only after the Officers’ Training Academy final result for CDS (I), 2026 is declared. The three academy lists are not the OTA result.
Candidates can seek clarification at UPSC’s campus facilitation counter on working days from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or at 011-24041001 and 011-40303444 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, according to the release. This report reproduces no candidate names, roll numbers or personal records.
