India-hosted agrivoltaics conference concludes; France to host 2027 edition

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy said the seventh Agrivoltaics World Conference 2026, held in India, concluded after discussions on combining agriculture and solar-energy generation, including farmer-centred models, water use, crop selection and financing. The ministry said participants included policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, development partners and farmers.

According to the official release, France was formally handed hosting responsibility for the eighth Agrivoltaics World Conference in 2027. The release described the discussions as focused on translating research and field experience into solutions suited to different agricultural conditions; it did not report any funding commitment, project sanction, release or completion.
