Bhopal to host inland fisheries investment and exporters’ conclave on October 23

The Madhya Pradesh fisheries department and the Union fisheries department are set to organise the Fisheries Investors and Exporters Conclave 2026 in Bhopal on October 23, according to a PIB Delhi release. The event is intended to discuss investment, processing, cold-chain infrastructure, value addition and export-market links for inland fisheries.

The release said more than 1,000 fish farmers from different parts of Madhya Pradesh, along with investors, exporters, cooperatives, producer organisations, entrepreneurs, start-ups and financial institutions, are expected to participate. It also said a 2026 investment and export roadmap for Madhya Pradesh fisheries is due to be released.

According to the release, administrative approval letters for integrated development of reservoirs and Amrit Sarovars in Madhya Pradesh are to be handed over during the programme. The release did not state financial amounts or confirm implementation outcomes.
