PM expresses condolences over Thiru Vummidi Ethiraj Ji’s death

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was deeply saddened by the death of Thiru Vummidi Ethiraj Ji. In a post cited by the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi said Ethiraj would be remembered for his efforts in crafting the Sengol presented to former Prime Minister Nehru. Modi also said the government gave the Sengol a prominent place in the new Parliament building in 2023 and that he had met Ethiraj that year.
