The Education Ministry plans to felicitate ten national-level winning teams and innovators from Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 in New Delhi on October 28. An October 27 release also says the competition secured Guinness World Records certification in the category of largest innovation solution competition. That record claim is attributed to the ministry.
The initiative recorded 2,87,967 project submissions across idea and prototype tracks, according to the release. Submissions are not the same as unique students, working products or granted patents. The ceremony and official record presentation are scheduled events, not completed proceedings.
The Department of School Education and Literacy organised the Buildathon with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and AICTE. It was designed to encourage problem-solving, entrepreneurship and scientific curiosity among school students. The 2025 programme name should not be confused with the 2026 date of the forthcoming felicitation.
Guidelines for Teacher Education Institutions under ULLAS–Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram are also scheduled for launch at the event. The release does not provide their full provisions, so no new obligations or eligibility conditions can be inferred from the announcement alone.
The confirmed current update is the planned October 28 programme and the ministry’s reported participation and certification figures. Details of the winning innovations and the launched guidelines will require the subsequent official material.
