The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs has signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with the Association of ARCs in India to connect its Post Graduate Insolvency Programme more closely with industry practice. The Corporate Affairs Ministry reported the agreement on October 22, describing teaching, research and industry engagement as its main areas.
The association represents asset reconstruction companies registered with the Reserve Bank of India. The announcement says the agreement follows the strategic alignment discussed at a ministry meeting on September 2; it does not give a separate exact date for the signing.
Data sharing is subject to applicable legal, regulatory, confidentiality and access requirements. The agreement does not provide unrestricted access to financial records or guarantee a placement to programme participants.
The ministry says the institutions will develop implementation strategies and review progress. They also discussed a possible joint conference in February 2027, with its theme and programme still to be finalised.
The immediate development is the collaborative framework. Its training and research outcomes will depend on the work undertaken under that framework, rather than follow automatically from signing the memorandum.
