EN · తెలుగుA financial-inclusion campaign running from October 21 to December 31 will bring special banking camps to Kerala’s gram panchayats and urban local bodies, according to an October 23 PIB release. The State Level Bankers’ Committee will coordinate with the state government, district authorities and banks, with at least one camp planned for each local body during the campaign.
The camps will help with Jan Dhan account opening, re-KYC, pending Aadhaar and central KYC formalities, activation of inoperative accounts and updating nominations. Residents can also seek guidance on tracing and reclaiming unclaimed financial assets. Financial-literacy and digital-fraud-prevention sessions are planned.
The campaign also covers enrolment in the PMJJBY and PMSBY insurance schemes and Atal Pension Yojana. The release says PMJJBY and PMSBY enrolment requires the beneficiary’s explicit consent. Residents may approach their bank branches during the campaign for pending formalities and information on schemes for which they are eligible; the announcement does not give individual camp dates or venues.
