Public-sector enterprises under the Coal Ministry have reported approximately ₹53.94 crore in scrap-disposal revenue under Special Campaign 6, according to an October 26 ministry release. These are ministry-wide campaign figures rather than a new total for one company. The implementation phase continues through October 31, making this a progress update rather than the final campaign report.
The ministry reports disposal of 16,158 metric tonnes of scrap against a target of 10,909 tonnes. Exact revenue was ₹53,94,62,602.45. It also reports cleaning 1,696 sites against an initial target of 1,565, covering 130.16 lakh square feet compared with a target of 101.80 lakh square feet.
Officials reviewed 78,635 physical and electronic files and reported 70,093 files weeded out or closed. These are separate measures; the reviewed total should not be described as the number closed.
The results are attributed ministry figures, without an independent audit supplied in the release. Scrap revenue is distinct from overall company revenue, profit or coal production. Group totals and individual enterprise subtotals should not be added together without checking for overlap.
