An Anakapalli cashew-processing enterprise is among the rural businesses profiled in an October 26 Rural Development Ministry feature on the National SARAS Mela at Punnami Ghat, Vijayawada. The report recounts Singampalli Parwathi's business development over several years; it is not an announcement of a company launch or a new loan sanctioned today.
According to the ministry's account, Parwathi joined the Sri Durga Bhavani Farmer Producer Group in 2018 and used a ₹20,000 loan to start trading raw cashews. A subsequent ₹50,000 loan helped purchase two cutting machines. Later finance described in the feature includes ₹2 lakh from the group and ₹3 lakh in bank financing under PMEGP for a larger processing unit.
The feature says the enterprise now processes cashews into 11 grades and reports annual turnover of approximately ₹50 lakh. That is reported business turnover, not profit or household income, and the release does not supply an independent audit. The case does not guarantee similar results for other borrowers.
The mela provides a market platform for self-help-group enterprises. The release says it continues through October 31 at Punnami Ghat, with daily opening hours of 11 am to 9.30 pm.
