Uttar Pradesh announced plans for an artificial-intelligence capacity-building centre and a pilot to bring officials’ skills, learning records and service profiles together for personnel decisions. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath outlined the measures at the Sādhana Shrinkhla regional workshop in Lucknow, according to a PIB release dated October 24.
The announcements form part of work with the Capacity Building Commission under Mission Karmayogi. They describe proposed changes and a pilot, rather than a completed statewide change to promotion, transfer or posting rules.
The workshop also launched the UNNATI Capacity Index, which assesses training institutions’ capabilities, and a National Curriculum Design Framework for Mission Karmayogi training institutes. Uttar Pradesh ranked first among participating states in the capacity-building recognition, followed by Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir, the release said.
Adityanath called for training to be assessed through better decisions, simpler processes and improved public services. The release presents the staffing changes as an effort to match officials’ capabilities with their roles; it does not give an implementation deadline for the pilot.
