Vice-President calls for Centre-State coordination on law reforms

Vice-President Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated a conference on “Co-operative Federalism and Law Reforms: National and State Perspectives” in New Delhi, according to a PIB release.

He called for greater consultation, coordination and shared responsibility between the Centre and states, saying political differences should not obstruct the broader public interest. He also urged state law commissions to identify outdated laws and recommend their amendment or repeal.
