Researchers at ESIC Medical College, Hyderabad, reviewed 97 tissue-confirmed bone-lesion cases recorded between January 2017 and December 2024. The paper, published in a 2026 journal issue, classified approximately 42% as benign, 40% as intermediate and 18% as malignant.
People aged 21–30 formed the largest age group in this selected sample. The researchers emphasised combining tissue analysis with clinical and imaging findings. These hospital records do not measure how common bone tumours are in the general population. This is research context, not an October 22 discovery.
