Seethakka reviews Ramappa water supply and conservation plans

Minister Seethakka inspected Ramappa Lake and the defluoridation project in Venkatapuram mandal, Mulugu district, on October 21. She said the lake had 29 feet of water and requested arrangements for water release within two days. Pumping additional water from the Godavari was being examined.

The supply plans cover Mulugu, Venkatapuram, Govindaraopet, Mallampalli and parts of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district. She also called for tank restoration, recharge works and check dams, prioritising drinking water. The directions do not confirm that water release has since occurred.
