Telangana rainfall shortfall reaches about 95% for October 1–21

Figures attributed to IMD put Telangana rainfall at 3.5 mm during October 1–21, against a normal 75.6 mm for that period. Twelve districts reportedly received no rain, including Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak and Jagtial.

The shortfall raises concerns about soil moisture, crop planning and water availability. These figures cover the first 21 days, not the whole month; they do not establish the rainfall outcome for the remaining days.
