The Ministry of Culture signed an agreement with Google Arts & Culture on November 5 to document and share Indian heritage online. The partnership covers museum collections, archaeological sites, manuscripts being documented under Gyan Bharatam, and living traditions such as crafts and performing arts.
One focus is the Yuge Yugeen Bharat Museum, which is being developed in New Delhi’s North and South Blocks. The ministry says digitisation will document the buildings and the artefacts they are intended to house. The agreement sets out the work ahead.
