The average annual salary for employees in the European Union reached €41,500 in 2025 after adjusting part-time pay to its full-time equivalent, Eurostat reported on November 6. That was 4.3% higher than the 2024 average of €39,800.
Luxembourg had the highest average at €85,600. Bulgaria had the lowest at €16,200. The figures are in nominal euros, so the increase does not measure a change in what those salaries could buy. [evidence-1]
