GitHub includes Copilot access in a new Enterprise Cloud model; AI usage remains metered

GitHub said on October 28 that enterprises working with a GitHub or Microsoft account team can obtain Copilot access for every licensed GitHub Enterprise Cloud user under a new commercial model. Self-service subscriptions are currently excluded from this availability.

Included access does not provide monthly AI credits per seat. AI use is charged against the enterprise budget from the first request. Copilot Standalone access for users without an Enterprise licence costs US$10 per user per month.
