India’s commerce ministry reported on 3 November that a roundtable led by Piyush Goyal discussed how to make it easier for biopharma startups to test products and navigate approvals. The proposals included shared laboratories, testing and clinical trial facilities.
Participants also discussed a regulatory sandbox, single-window clearance and simpler patent applications. The ministry described these as subjects of discussion. Its release did not announce a new approval process or a rollout date.
