India and the European Union have finished negotiating India’s association with Horizon Europe. The agreement would give eligible Indian businesses and research organisations access to funding calls and a greater role in collaborative projects under Pillar II. The European Commission and India’s science ministry both confirmed the outcome.
The EU’s EURAXESS portal says both sides must still complete procedures and sign the agreement. It envisages association in January 2027. The €93.5 billion figure is the budget for the entire Horizon Europe programme for 2021–27.
