India’s central government spent ₹6,54,547 crore on capital account during April–September 2026, the Finance Ministry reported on October 30. Total expenditure was ₹25,49,835 crore, or 47.7% of the full-year Budget Estimate.
Receipts excluding debt totalled ₹18,35,422 crore, or 50.3% of their annual Budget Estimate. These included net tax revenue of ₹12,76,088 crore, non-tax revenue of ₹4,80,732 crore and non-debt capital receipts of ₹78,602 crore.
The figures describe spending and receipts recorded so far, rather than new project approvals or full-year outcomes. Budget-use percentages measure progress against separate annual estimates; they are not growth rates.
