Andhra Pradesh SDMA has issued an advisory for possible lightning in the areas it lists as “sklm-ichchapuram, sklm-kaviti mandals”. The advisory is effective from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. IST on October 29, 2026. It was issued at 9:28:52 a.m. IST and is available through NDMA SACHET.

The issuer classifies the alert as severe, with the event expected and its certainty marked possible. This is a forecast advisory, rather than confirmation that lightning has struck or caused damage. Its area wording does not establish a warning for an entire district.

During thunderstorms, the state government advises people to avoid trees, towers, poles, fields and open spaces, and seek shelter in safe buildings. People in the listed areas should follow SDMA guidelines. The stated validity ends at 11:30 a.m.; a later period requires a fresh official advisory.
