PIB Nagpur and Gadchiroli Police will hold a VARTALAP media workshop for journalists from Gadchiroli district on November 4. The announced venue is Eklavya Hall at Police Headquarters, Gadchiroli, with the programme scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The workshop's theme is Naxal Mukt Bharat. According to PIB, technical sessions will discuss security measures, development initiatives, rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites, infrastructure and welfare schemes in areas affected by Left Wing Extremism.
A separate session will cover PIB's role in sharing government information, the Journalist Welfare Scheme and PIB Fact Check. The event is intended for print, electronic and digital media professionals, with interaction involving officials and subject experts.
This is a scheduled professional workshop, not evidence that the district has become free of extremism or that a new welfare benefit has been approved.
