Public records

Dated parliamentary work record

Sanjay Seth answered question 3515 as Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence on 13 March 2026; Shahu Shahaji Chhatrapati was the questioner. The answer reported completion of a fibre-based secure quantum communication demonstration project and establishment of a 200 km fibre QKD proof of concept. A follow-up long-range free-space QKD demonstration project remained at planning stage, with an expected cost of Rs118 crore. Demonstration and proof of concept do not establish an operationally deployed defence system; the estimate is not expenditure. This is an attributed ministerial answer, not independent proof of technical performance, personal delivery or Ranchi benefits. Subsequent deployment and outcomes were not verified.
