Andhra Pradesh was allocated ₹4,597 crore and Telangana ₹2,370 crore in an additional tax-devolution instalment released to States on October 31, 2026, according to the Union Finance Ministry. Together, the two States account for ₹6,967 crore of the announced release.
The ministry puts the all-State total at ₹1,09,019 crore. It describes this as an advance instalment in addition to regular monthly devolution and the second additional instalment in the current financial year. The stated purpose is to help States accelerate capital spending and finance development and welfare expenditure during the upcoming festive season.
These are shares of tax devolution reported as released by the Union Government, rather than a newly announced payment to individual households. The announcement does not identify particular AP or Telangana projects, show that either State has already spent its share, or establish beneficiary-level transfers.
