Telangana trains district officials on new solid waste rules

The Telangana Pollution Control Board trained district and local government officials on the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, in Hyderabad on November 5. The session explained their duties under the rules and how to use the Central Pollution Control Board’s online portal.

Officials practised registering facilities, submitting applications, recording inspections and filing annual returns. Officials from Hyderabad, Rangareddy and Medchal–Malkajgiri attended in person at Paryavarana Bhavan in Sanathnagar. Officials from the other districts joined online.
